Central Church of Christ

Disaster Relief Update:
If you want to help the Church reach out to Tuscaloosa, you have come to the right place.
To brothers and sisters across the state and country, understand that while our building was destroyed, the Church was edified. But, as much as we have been strengthened, we cannot overcome the challenges ahead alone.
The property that held our earthly meeting place has now become an epicenter for outreach in a devastated area. We have no electricity, no shelter, no bathrooms, but with the help of the resources of the Church of Christ Disaster Relief Team from Tennessee, we are feeding thousands of residents in the surrounding neighborhoods each day. These residents have lost everything.
We understand if you feel a need to jump in your vehicle and help out now. This is a very loving reaction. Fortunately we have many people who love their fellow people in this country right after a tragedy like this. Unfortunately, this is going to be a long process. You are needed, but the greatest need is not now. It is in the weeks and months ahead. We want the Church to be able to meet this need when the rest of the state and country have forgotten or moved on. That is why we ask you to use this site to contact us.
We want the Church to make the difference in Tuscaloosa no one else could. We want the people in Tuscaloosa to see that the Church of Christ will never give up on them just as God will never give up on us.

With open doors and open arms, the Central church of Christ in Tuscaloosa invites you to join us in worship, study and service … we encourage you to join our family and make Central your church home.
Expressing His love towards each other, let us overcome the man-made barriers of race, social standing, affluence and creed.
With open hearts, open minds and open Bibles, we seek only to be pleasing and acceptable to our gracious God through loving devotion to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Laying aside our selfish personal will, and being transformed daily into the image of Jesus, our earnest desire is for faith, hope and love to abound and endure in us…the body of Christ, the Lord's church.
“It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12 to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”
Ephesians 4:11-13
